Lords of ShadowEdit
If the recorded chronicles of the Brotherhood are to be believed, Zobek is one of their longest serving warriors. The list of heroic deeds attributed to him is as impressive as his vast knowledge of the art of war or indeed the mighty fighting skills he can deploy, despite his age. His weapon of choice is a simple long sword which he handles with skill and alacrity. Strangely, he likes to use an old-fashioned uniform of the Brotherhood of Light that, according to him, was inherited from one of his ancestors; one of the founding members of the Order.
Lord of the DeadEdit
Zobek was once a brave fighter and a sage wizard, wise above all others. He was a good man, much loved and respected. Along with Cornell and Carmilla, Zobek founded the Order to which Gabriel belongs: the Brotherhood of Light. Yet pride drove him to seek even more power, to fight against the evil and injustices he saw all around him. He was corrupted by the very desire to do good and, in the end, was punished for it. When his spirit ascended to heaven that fateful night, the empty corpse that he left behind behind became the necromancer; an evil reflection of everything that he represented. Lord of all the dead, he is death personified and with his knowledge of the dark arts none may stand against him, living or dead.
Lords of Shadow 2Edit
Zobek was, together with Carmilla and Cornell, one of the old founders of the Brotherhood of Light who answered the call of God, leaving their darkest being on the earth. The Lord of The Dead, however, despite his absolute mastery of necromantic magic, could do nothing against the supremacy of Satan, and his existence was relegated to the kingdom of the lifeless. Exhausted and humiliated, he remained hidden for an era, watching over the world of men through his countless spies, extending his influence and preparing his return.
When he learned that the power of Dracula had weakened enough and that the arrival of Satan was near, Zobek materialized once again on Earth. He left behind the arrogance of his past to take on the role of an influential businessman, and he blended in directly with society, up to the present.
Now, he has a new plan - a perfect plan that will pit his two worst enemies against one another, leaving only he, Zobek, to become lord of all, once and for all.
Countless pictorial and literary references have inspired Zobek to shape his true appearance as his most admired character is described. Death. A legendary skeletal being that ends the life of humans once their role in the world is finished.
During an endless period of time in which he was trapped in his domains, the king of death studied desperately to find new ways of manifesting his power. Using all of his efforts to gather a significant number of souls, he found the way to forge with them a ghostly scythe with extraordinary properties. It is a weapon that will be of great use when his skill of brandishing cutting words is not enough to avoid battle.
