- For the Lords of Shadow 2 item, see Wolf Form (Lords of Shadow).
Alucard can assume the form of a wolf using the Soul of Wolf relic. Alucard is able to run fast (tap and then hold a right or left directional button) and make leaps that he cannot normally make in his human form. He can deal out a small amount of damage by attacking with a slow, awkward bite/bark move. His wolf form can be enhanced with additional relics, including the Power of Wolf, which increases his speed and causes running through enemies dish out damage, and Skill of Wolf, which allows him to lunge at his enemies and attack them. Normally, Alucard is forced to revert to human form if he touches the water in Wolf form. However, if he has the Skill of Wolf activated, he is able to swim in the water in wolf form. Possession of the Holy Symbol relic is required in order to remain as a wolf in water.
The relic Power of Wolf has a misleading description: the wolf form can always dash by double-tapping a direction, the Power of Wolf increases the maximum speed of the dash and enables a new effect. After getting up momentum in wolf form, Alucard will deal a small amount of Hit damage to any enemy he touches and does not take damage from colliding with enemies; if the wolf dash does not kill the enemy, it will just run straight through them. Each hit causes a deduction from Alucard's MP gauge in addition to the slow loss for dashing: if it is completely depleted, the wolf will stop sprinting. If Alucard collides with a vertical surface while sprinting, he will bounce off it and automatically revert to his normal form.
Alucard can also assume Wolf Form in a limited capacity in Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, where he briefly transforms into a wolf while performing what otherwise would be a Slide.
Dracula is shown to be able to take the form of a wolf in the final battle of Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, as well as in Castlevania: The Arcade.

Trivia[]
- In Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, this form is required in order to achieve 200% map completion.
- The wolf form, as well as its usage by Alucard, and to a lesser extent Dracula, refers to how the latter's literary inspiration was considered the origin of werewolf myths in the lore of the story.
- The fact that Alucard's Wolf Form is white in the animated series could be a reference to the White Wolf of Lords of Shadow 2, which is itself a reference to the zoo's escaped white wolf in Francis Ford Coppola's film Bram Stoker's Dracula.
