At the end of LOS, I didn't really get the part when Marie said "I knew I could not tell you or despair would have eroded your resolve and everything would have been lost". What does she mean by that. The only thing I find that explain this is "she didn't fully trust him or his good heart" but I'm not sure if that's right. Can someone help me with this?
