The Order is a secret cult that repeatedly aims to resurrect Dracula in hopes of gaining power and immortality. The direct showdown between the Belmont clan and the order is covered in the mobile phone game Castlevania: Order of Shadows. The order has most likely also appeared in other Castlevania games, such as Chronicles during Simon Belmont's era and Rondo of Blood during Richter Belmont's era. The dark priest Shaft was most likely the most prominent member of this group in this era. The non-canonical Belmont Legacy comic series also likely features this group during Christopher Belmont's era.

A possible more recent appearance was in the DS handheld title, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, headed up by Barlowe during the time of the Belmont Clan's absence (specifically, during the 19th century) named "Ecclesia". Externally, it was believed that Ecclesia was an organization in reaching methods of eradicating Dracula through the power of Glyphs. However, towards the end of the game, Barlowe became mad (possibly falling victim to the powerful dark infulence of Dominus itself , like Albus) and revealed to his disciple Shanoa Ecclesia's true purpose, in that Shanoa's role was to actually revive Dracula with Dominus, the three Glyphs created from Dracula's power itself. She herself would not have known, because she would have died after using Dominus.
