um, konami? logic moment, plz (yeah, I know, "logic? in my konami?") - when exactly is this supposed to take place...? i know it's very likely an AU timeline of some sort. but if Curse of Darkness came to a BAD END conclusion, isaac would be toast, and at the end of the game proper he's toast anyhow. unless he demonstrated the trademark forgemaster durability, climbed out of the ruins of dracula's jenga tower and, thinking better of this revenge nonsense, wandered off to start his own business in like...avant-garde fashion design or something. but now i'm being ridonkulous. happy as i am to see him (i love isaac and his stupid, stupid pants and kickass crazylaugh, so sue me ;p ) and trevor in action again, the timeline-aligned part of my brain keeps going crosseyed!

ah well. i shall tell myself 'it's just a game, you really should relax' and just watch the pretty shiny graphics. now, konami, if you'd be so nice as to render hector so shinily, or alucard, or richter, or maria? i'd be a cheerful burd indeed. man, even if i'd lose so much money trying - i want to play this thing! :D -castlevaniaburd

I think that "Pachislot Akumajo Dracula" are more correct than "Akumajo Dracula Pachislot". Dracula shouts "Pachislot Akumajo Dracula" in the end of trailer.--Kiyuhito 07:04, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

You are correct, that is the term used on the sound track disc too ([1]). I'll update it again.--Reinhart77 18:38, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

August 13, 2013 EDIT[]

August 13, 2013 EDIT I know that this has the two notations "Pachislot Akumajo Dracula" and "Akumajo Dracula". I am supporting "Pachislot Akumajo Dracula" from the Sound track CD.--Kiyuhito (talk) 06:39, August 16, 2013 (UTC)

Skeleton[]

I think that "Skeleton (alt)" official name is "Comical Skeleton". Source from Pachislot Akumajō Dracula Original Soundtrack track 26 song title "Showtime! ~Comical Skeleton Stage~". But, I don't know the truth.--Kiyuhito 14:44, October 29, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw that elsewhere (on YouTube), but wasn't sure if the item that were in tildes (~) were from the soundtrack itself or were added on for clarification. I just checked the scans at the Castlevania Realm, and it looks like the track titles really do have "~" in it, so I'm going to guess Comical Skeleton is a legitimate name. I'll go ahead and change it.--Reinhart77 20:08, October 29, 2011 (UTC)

I get official source. Comical Skeleton--Kiyuhito 09:57, February 6, 2012 (UTC)

Pachislot Akumajo Dracula I ---> Pachislot Akumajo Dracula II

If so, is Pachislot III also another story? Nagumo baby 09:01, February 28, 2012 (UTC)

Pachislot Akumajo Dracula series Developer "Inaba no Kurousagi" says Pachislot Akumajo Dracula I&II story Based on Curse of Darkness, Curse of Darkness another story(tale) seen from the Ralph side. Another story means parallel or spin-off? I cannot choose one.--Kiyuhito 10:46, February 28, 2012 (UTC)

Pachislot III is a story in the past more than Pachislot I. and, PachislotIII story is completely the same as Akumajo Densetsu Japanese Manual. I have already reported this. Talk:Pachislot Akumajō Dracula III.--Kiyuhito 10:52, February 28, 2012 (UTC)

So does that mean the pachislots are canon? That means Dracula got killed by both Ralph and Hector during Curse of Darkness. That seems confusing. Nagumo baby 15:09, February 28, 2012 (UTC)

Kurousagi says "色々と想像しながら遊技していただければ、幸いです (I am pleased if you play the pachslot, imagining many things)". Let's enjoy speculation.--Kiyuhito 13:17, February 29, 2012 (UTC)

I'll enjoy some speculating. Could Pachislot I be what would have happened if Death was able to use Hector's body instead of Isaac's to resurrect Dracula? What if this is what would have happened if Death and/or St. Germain didn't meddle with the timeline? Maybe St. Germaine witnessed these events and then went further back in time to try to stop Hector from pursuing Isaac so he wouldn't be turned into Dracula? --Reinhart77 02:16, March 5, 2012 (UTC)

I thought that might be the reason too. Though then I remembered Germain is present in both Curse of Darkness and the Pachislots. Perhaps there is no reason for this alternate scenario or perhaps an explanation will be given later. Nagumo baby 08:17, March 5, 2012 (UTC)

Notes: Kurousagi says, Pachislot Akumajo Dracula I&II story is "Curse of Darkness Ralph side" another story. Not "Curse of Darkness Ralph side story".--Kiyuhito 02:32, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

IGA: パチスロ版は、モチーフとしては、公式の時系列としておりますが、あれは演出の都合上、公式の物語とはかなりずれております。あれも、外伝としてとらえた方が良いかと思います。

Although IGA and Kurousagi are not the same person, I think their views on the story of the Pachislot most likely line up with each other. Therefore, I interpret the words "Curse of Darkness Ralph side another story" as "Curse of Darkness another story with Ralph as protagonist". Nagumo baby

Ok, I see. I'm able to check source. Thank you.--Kiyuhito 13:14, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

Game Flow[]

I'm trying to figure out the rules for this game in order to write a section about it for the article. I tried looking at the "Game Flow" sections from the websites for Pachislot II and III (unfortunately I can't seem to acces any sections on the website for the first one when using the internet archive). There a couple of things I'm curious about:

  • What's the difference between the "auto" fuction and the "semi-auto" function?
  • What's the difference between "Regular Bonus" and "Big Bonus"?
  • What's the function of hearts?
  • What's the functions of crosses?
  • What happens when you "win" a boss battle against Isaac, Medusa, etc?
  • What are the requirements in order to fight Dracula?

If anyone could help me with this, it would be appreciated. --Nagumo baby (talk) 19:42, February 8, 2015 (UTC)

Pachislot has many terms, I don't play Pachislot, So I don't understand those.

  • What's the difference between the "auto" fuction and the "semi-auto" function?: "auto" - You can see the state a program plays Pachislot automatically. "semi-auto" - You can sometimes intervene in that.
  • What's the difference between "Regular Bonus" and "Big Bonus"?: "Regular Bonus" can get approximately 45 coins. A coin is 20 yen for 1, so you get 900 yen. "Big Bonus" can get approximately 260 coins. You get 5200 yen.
  • What's the function of hearts?: That seems to suggest some chances, but I don't understand well.
  • What's the functions of crosses?: A possibility of ART ("Dracula Battle" mode) rises so that a cross increases. ART is "assist replay time". I don't understand well.
  • What happens when you "win" a boss battle against Isaac, Medusa, etc?: You get a bonus (Regular or Big).
  • What are the requirements in order to fight Dracula?: When some conditions are met during a game, they seem to shift to a "Dracula Battle" mode (ART).

--Kiyuhito (talk) 02:42, February 9, 2015 (UTC)

This is very helpful, thanks! This is what I found:

  • RT: Replay Time, a period of time during pachislot gaming when a replay probability is inflated allowing game with numbers of medal tokens maintained.
  • AT: Assist Time, a function that reduces missed winning and pays out a larger amount of coins than normal gaming.
  • ART: Mode that adds Assist Time on top of Replay Time.

--Nagumo baby (talk) 16:30, February 9, 2015 (UTC)

I have another question:

During ART or the Countdown Mission sometimes either the color red, blue, or black (sometimes all three of them appear). Why is this? I think you're supposed to make these colors appear on the reel, and I think if you can't manage this, you fail the mission or get kicked out of ART. Also, what is the "Cherry Challenge"? --Nagumo baby (talk) 19:20, February 11, 2015 (UTC)

I checked these, but these have a possibility with the mistake.

  • Cherry Challenge: When you got a cherry, you get a cherry navi (cherry navigator, This is also called "kōmori navi (bat navi)"). When you choose the color according to the cherry navi, you can evade a cherry [2][3].
  • ART: When you fail in this, you get a cherry and end ART [4].
  • Countdown Mission (This is also called "Skeleton Mission"): When you fail in this, you can't go to ART. When there are no cherry navi, 3 colors are indicated. 2 in it are success, and 1 is failure. You have to choose a correct answer without cherry navi help. [5]

--Kiyuhito (talk) 01:04, February 12, 2015 (UTC)

Is there also a special requirement to winning the Trap Mission? I always seems to lose no matter what. --Nagumo baby (talk) 21:46, February 15, 2015 (UTC)

It seems that almost all this is influenced by your luck. Trap Mission is usually such order. [Floating rock -> Crumbling bridge -> Guillotine] When order is different from this, a chance may be high. [6] Ralph's face is indicated, and when voice is issued, a chance is high. When you succeed in Trap Mission, you can get a bonus, but its possibility is low.--Kiyuhito (talk) 01:17, February 16, 2015 (UTC)

Countdown Mission is different from Skeleton Mission in Pachislot 2, but Countdown Mission and Skeleton Mission are the same one in first Pachislot. I'd choose Skeleton Mission.--Kiyuhito (talk) 14:24, February 23, 2015 (UTC)

I'm sorry, I misunderstood. Skeleton Mission and Countdown Mission is different.
  • Skeleton Mission: Like other missions, That starts suddenly. When you made a skeleton extinct within a count, you get a bonus. Frequency 1.
  • Countdown Mission: When the game number of times prescribed at "Challenge Zone" (RT) is digested, "Countdown Mission" occurs. When you fail in this, you can't go to ART. When there are no cherry navi, 3 colors are indicated. 2 in it are success, and 1 is failure. You have to choose a correct answer without cherry navi help. When you made a skeleton extinct within a count, you get ART. Frequency 4?? I investigated, but an answer wasn't obtained.
--Kiyuhito (talk) 14:14, March 6, 2015 (UTC)

I still have a couple of more questions. I hope you don't mind. It's a bit difficult because pachislot rules are very unfamiliar to me and reading the manual is difficult. 7 In the what manual what does it say in the "title" section (top left)? Also, to check if I understood properly, I noticed during Bonus or ART you get a navi (not cherry/bat navi). If I then switch to semi-auto, I always get the same result as the navi displayed on the screen. Is this what those navis are supposed to do? I don't think anything bad happens if you don't do this, unlike cherry/bat navi. --Nagumo baby (talk) 12:36, March 6, 2015 (UTC)

About "title". When the specific condition is met, a title in the upper left changes. That's the one like a joke and that doesn't have an influence on a game. There was a contest which wants a picture of the title then in case of Pachislot2 and 3. When completeness of a title achieved, KPE exhibited a screen saver as reward. About "navi". I don't know about the navigation. That may be accidental and it may be the effect of semi-auto.--Kiyuhito (talk) 12:58, March 6, 2015 (UTC)

I almost understand everything, but there are still a couple of loose ends. I wrote down all the remaining questions I have. So hopefully after this I know enough to finish the article.

General questions:

  • 8 Under support, under "ceiling", what does it say?
  • Something during Skeleton Stage, Candle Stage, etc., there will be a white, purple, blue or green glow in the skeleton's eyes/candle's flame. What does this indicate? White apperently means a chance to get a cross.
  • Sometimes during the Knife Stage or one of the Angela stages I get either a "?" or "!!?" symbol. Do these have any meaning?
  • 9 Sometimes a ghost appears in the Corridor stage. What does this mean?
  • What does "B-B Game" stand for?
  • Since the official website is taken down, could we perhaps offer up the screensaver for download on the wiki (If it can still be found)?

Android/iOS port questions:

  • 10 This is the DLC shop. Do you know what kind of DLC it is? I know one of the DLC is changing the banner to different ones.
  • What is Challenge Mode and how do I unlock it?
  • 11 In the upper left, those white, green, and red bars, what do they indicate?

I'm sorry I have to ask so many questions. I hope it isn't too much of a bother. --Nagumo baby (talk) 18:59, March 6, 2015 (UTC)

It’s all right. I don’t mind. :)

  • under "ceiling": Ceiling(Tenjō) is actuated by 1000G(game) after a puncture. Tenjō ART of 0.2 net increases! Behind the bonus, ART plunge fixation!
  • Color of skeleton's eyes/candle's flame: Perhaps blue is replay. The result is always probably same, so I'd hope that you take notes.
  • "?" or "!!?": I have no clue. Perhaps random event?
  • Ghost: This is also same as skeleton's eyes/candle's flame. The color of the ghost's eye suggests a chance. The color of the stained glass in a chapel is also the same meaning.
  • "B-B Game": I have no clue. That may be something concerned with Big Bonus, but I don't understand.
  • Screensaver: Screensaver is a work of KPE, so it's dangerous to redistribute that.
  • DLC shop: Most top-Bargain pack, 3 DLCs are bought at the same time. 2-Compulsion flag, A compulsion flag can be used now by the menu in the game of the simulation mode. You can lead a game to a bonus, etc compulsorily. 3-Save expansion, Save slot is 3 by default. You can increase a slot in 10 by buying this DLC. 4-Additional panel, When this DLC is bought, you can change the panel and the lamp color.
  • Challenge Mode unlock: Gallery can be unlocked by doing ガチャ Gacha using the coin obtained by a challenge mode. There seems to be 2 (in-game item get Gacha, gallery unlocking gacha) kinds of Gacha, but I don't understand. There also seems to be a way to buy a chip by PDLC and do Gacha.
  • upper left: white-game count, 100 games are probably meant by 1 bar. green-Regular Bonus. red-Big Bonus.

--Kiyuhito (talk) 04:53, March 7, 2015 (UTC)

Pachinko/Pachislot Hall/Parlor and Game Center's differences[]

  • Game Center: Game Center is an English word coined in Japan which means Amusement arcade and Video arcade. You can play here with the Arcade game, Video arcade game, and Medal game. You can't convert a prize into money. Game Center is being weakened and reduced in recent years in Japan.
  • Pachinko/Pachislot Hall/Parlor: You're here, Pachinko, Pachislot or both of them, it's possible to play. It is not possible to enter here when you are less than 18 years old. You can convert the prize you got here into money. This isn't a casino by Japanese law, but it's a casino actually. The achievement is good compared with a Game Center, but it decreases in recent years.

And, USED Pachinko/Pachislot might be remodeled to the medal game in the Game Center.--Kiyuhito (talk) 01:55, February 23, 2015 (UTC)

Ah, yes. I know the difference. Did I make a mistake in the article? --Nagumo baby (talk) 11:48, February 23, 2015 (UTC)
I thought it was difficult to understand the difference between the Game Center and the Pachislot Hall for many people. So I decided to write this on talk page as a sub-text.--Kiyuhito (talk) 14:04, February 23, 2015 (UTC)
