The Sun Armor, also called Solar Plate, is armor that is affected by sunlight.
In Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, it grants +40 DEF while in Castle B, but +80 while in Castle A. At Castle A, it is the second most powerful armor after the Ceramic Mail (+90). At Castle B, it has the same DEF as the Brigandine. Its counterpart is the Moon Armor, which has the same states for the opposite location. Unlike how the Sunstone in Symphony of the Night works (by referring game time or system clock), this item always considers Castle A as "day with sun".
In Castlevania: Lament of Innocence, the Solar Plate is the fourth and last armor that can be purchased from Rinaldo Gandolfi and is available for 15,000 Gold once 80% of the map is covered. It reduces damage by 30% from all enemies, which is 10% more than the Moonlight Plate.
