Strawberry is a food item that recovers health in Castlevania. It recovers 10 HP in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It is the highest recovering fruit (which give you the lowest amount of HP of any food type), giving one more than an Apple. With 10 HP being a good round number, it gives you the same HP as a Chinese Bun (which is the lowest dessert type food) and Green Tea.
Strawberries (the highest HP fruit) and Grapes (the lowest HP fruit) are the only fruit in Symphony of the Night to appear in other games. A Strawberry always gives a higher amount of HP than Grapes, although it gives less HP than a Melon. Strawberries also appear in Aria of Sorrow, Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin.
Strawberries are dropped by enemies who like to eat them, such as the Salem Witch in Symphony of the Night and Persephone in Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow. They are also dropped by plants that produce them, such as the Une in Portrait of Ruin.
In Harmony of Despair, Strawberries gives the lowest MP (+30) and MND (+3) for any fruit. This is less than a Kiwi (+40 MP and +3 MND). However, Strawberries also give a LCK boost (+1) which no other fruit does. Any Strawberry flavored Sweet also affects LCK (Red Licorice, Berry Cruller, Strawberry Donut, Berry Mousse Cake).
