Steel Plate (sometimes called Steel Cuirass or Steel Armor) is breastplate made of steel. It is often stronger than the Iron Armor and the strongest "normal" metal armor, but less powerful than the weakest "precious metal" armor, Silver Armor.

In Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, the Steel Cuirass grants a Defense boost of +5, which is one more than an Iron Cuirass and one less than a Silver Plate.

In Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, the Steel Armor grants +120 Defense, which is 20 more than Chain Mail and 30 less than Platinum Armor.

The Steel Plate in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow gives DEF +31, which is more than an Iron Plate (+25) and less than the Silver Plate +35.

There is not an item called the Steel Armor in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. However, the description for the Iron Plate indicates that it is made of Steel.
