Spiked Armor (called Needle Armor or Spiked Mail) is an armor with spikes on it that can be used offensively.

It Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, the Needle Armor provides an Strength bonus of +10 and is also one of the toughest armors found in the game, granting +400 Defense, which is more than the Mirror Armor (+300), but less than the Shining Armor (+500 with addition +10 boosts for Strength, Intelligence, and Luck).

In Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, the Spiked Mail does not provide any Strength boost at all and in fact reduces Constitution and Mind by 20. In return, whenever you hit an enemy, it will also take damage. It is only obtained from Vincent's Shop for $33,000 once you have accumulated 20,000 Shop Points.
