Several slimy eyeball monsters have appeared in the Castlevania series. These creatures can float or stick to ceilings or floors and usually are able to emit a beam of energy from their eye. The first such creature was Slimey BarSinister from Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, which rose from swampy areas and emitted a fireball. The second were eyeballs that were in Castlevania: Bloodlines and were stuck to floors and ceilings which emitted beams of energy. Brain Floats in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon wander back and forth slowly, occasionally firing off orbs, and can be used as platforms when frozen. Nominon and Polkir from Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia float about the area. Nominon attempts to latch onto heads in order to suck their souls, while Polkir does so to steal their precious memories. Polkir also emits beams of light towards the ground which when erupts.
