Skeleton Spiders are enemies in the Castlevania series.
Description
The Skeleton Spider is a monstrosity made entirely of bones which resembles a giant spider. They crawl cautiously back and forth, but will occasionally make charging attacks.
They are resilient creatures which can withstand many hits. When attacked, however, they will be sent a few steps back, allowing the player to attack them repeatedly without giving them chance to retaliate.
Skeleton Spiders may be related to Skull Spiders and Spittle Bones, although they possess a long spine. The ones in Castlevania Chronicles have a giant, humanoid skull. The ones in Harmony of Dissonance boast the skull of a ram. There also exists a variant in this game called Arthro Skeletons, which have a human skeleton torso and can hurl bones.
