Simon Belmont III is a non-canon descendant of Simon Belmont, most likely his grandson. He represents a younger version of Simon Belmont and possibly fills in for the role of Simon Belmont in many Konami mascot games. The name "Simon Belmont III" appeared as Simon's name in the Konami-Pub Wai Wai World Guidebook. If this guidebook is true for the game, then the Simon played in Wai Wai World is not the same Simon that appeared in the original Castlevania game, but rather, is more likely his descendant. It is possible that all of the Simon Belmonts that appear in the various Wai Wai World games may actually be Simon Belmont III, which have a similar character design to the character in Wai Wai World, though this is not known for certain. Other cameo games where Simon appears young may also be Simon Belmont III.
