Regeneration is the ability to restore HP in exchange for MP over time.
Game specific information
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Nathan Graves is able to use this ability while combining the Jupiter + Mandragora DSS cards. After a few seconds of standing still, he will slowly regain lost health, roughly 1% every second.
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Soma Cruz is able to use this ability with enchanted souls. It can be obtained with a Giant Worm's soul and will only work when standing still. A similar ability from the Alura Une's soul (Guardian Alura Une) will cause an Alura Une to appear behind him and restore his health at a much faster rate and without the need to stand still, although it costs 60 MP per second while the spell is active.
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow / Castlevania: Harmony of Despair
Soma can use this ability from the Creature's soul in both Dawn of Sorrow and Harmony of Despair.
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Refectio is a back glyph that increases Shanoa's rate of physical regeneration. It can be obtained inside a secret room behind a breakable wall in the Library (Dracula's Castle). When cast, Shanoa will continuously restore a small set amount of HP over time at a single cost of 80 MP. Be warned, however, that the glyph will deactivate upon taking damage of any kind.
Note that Refectio is affected by whether Shanoa has Emperor Rings equipped; compared to base effectiveness, one ring doubles the Glyph's healing power, and a second ring triples it. Thus, if making use of this glyph, it's not necessarily a bad idea to equip Emperor Rings to boost it.

Trivia
- Refecio means "refresh" in Latin. Refectio is probably an alternate spelling which may have a similar meaning, implying refreshment through a meal or nourishment.
