Onyx is a jewel found in Castlevania, oftentimes found in a ring (sometimes called the Onyx Ring), and is associated with the Dark attribute.

Its first appearance was in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as a salable ring. It could be sold to the Master Librarian for 3,000 Gold, which is more valuable than a Turquoise (1,500 G) and less valuable than Garnet (5,000 G). Onyx is rarely dropped by the Jewel Sword.

The Onyx in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is an item that by itself does nothing. It is needed for Laura's "A Heartwarming Accessory" quest. If the player brings her an Onyx and a Diamond, she will make available the Onyx Ring (greater Dark offensive power), Onyx Pins (greater defense against Dark), Diamond Ring, and Diamond Pins at Jacob's shop.
