Trivia[]
- This item seems intended to mirror the effect of the classic Holy Water sub-weapon, which similarly in the Lords of Shadow saga, debuted along with Simon Belmont in the original Castlevania.
- It probably replaced Holy Water in an effort to keep sub-weapons unique to each character, as Holy Water Flasks were used by Gabriel in the original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.
- It may also be a reference to the fact that due to the NES era censoring of religious materials, the Holy Water was originally referred to as a "Fire Bomb" in the west.
- The weapon being just a bottle full of flammable oil rather than a flask of Holy Water could also relate that Simon was never part of the Brotherhood of Light like his grandfather, father and descendant were/are, thus he has no access to holy equipment and makes do with what he can get his hands on.
