- For the enemy that poses as a treasure chest, see Mimic.
O (letter, often misinterpreted as "0" or "Zero") and the Mimic are enemies in Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance.
Description[]
O[]
A thief enemy that will stick on the player and try to steal their subweapon. Unlike most enemies, O has a long damage animation of bouncing on the ground, during which it cannot take or deal damage. When defeated, the red orb on its tentacle falls off and explodes, sending the monster away and leaving either a random subweapon or a Large Heart. This enemy is the only way to get rid of subweapons, which can allow Juste Belmont to use his healing spell, God Bless, by using the Summoning Tome.
In Maxim Mode, it will rarely drop anything at all, since subweapons aren't used in that mode. Instead, it may drop a single Heart.

Mimic[]
As implied by its name, the Mimic (or Manemane) will mimic the player's behavior by taking off its tentacle and using it like a whip. It appears only in a couple of rooms in the Skeleton Cave (Castle A). There is even a minor puzzle that requires to lead a Mimic to an unreachable switch (both the Mimic and the switch are located in the closed off top section of the room), by having it mirror Juste's movements. The Mimic does not steal any items.
