The Necromancer plays similar to a low level death. He taunts Nathan at the beginning of the match and seems to have knowledge of Dracula's plans.

[edit] Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
The Necromancer enemies in this game can be encountered in Ruvas Forest. They have no attacks of their own, but are shown to use the Fidelis Caries Glyph to summon up the Zombie enemies. Stealing the Fidelis Caries Glyph allows you to summon up Zombies of your own.

[edit] Origin
The latin word Necromancer combines the words "necro" and "mancer", and is translated as "Death Sorcerer".
