The Medusa Shield is a gorgon-headed shield. It is one of two of Alucard's shields that can also be used as a weapon by ramming it into enemies, the other one being the Dark Shield. It can only be obtained as a drop item from a Medusa Head.

In Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, it is one of the easier shields to be obtained, as Medusa Heads continuously respawn. It is more likely to be dropped by a golden Medusa Head than a blue one. It is also the weaker of the two shields that can be used as weapons in this game, though it is worth more.

In Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, you can't be turned into stone when equipped
