Laura is a servant of the vampire Carmilla. When first encountered in Portrait of Ruin she is sitting in a chair. Before you fight her she is wearing a long,red silk dress. As you approach she rises saying, "Here I am!", after which she runs at you. If she touches you while wearing the red dress she will grab you and suck your blood. If you attack her, she sheds her dress revealing her true form. She appears to wear a leotard with boots that go up to her knees. She also has cat-like ears (removed in Dracula X Chronicles). After the dress is gone she attacks you with martial art moves. She jumps and flips around a lot so the best weapon choice would be one that has a large arc (greatswords or axes).

Her original appearance was during the Camilla boss fight in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. Laura would pace back and forth during the fight, throwing off her dress and attacking only after Camilla was defeated.

In Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles, a Laura imposes the form of Annette in the clock tower In order of fool players into thinking it was the actual Annette, since she resides on the same room where the actual Annette was in in Rondo of Blood.

Interesting point of note, Laura bears a slight resemblence to another Konami character, Konami Lady, from the game Konami Wai Wai World, both in overall outfit style and fighting methods.

• Laura is apparently a reference to Laura, one of the two main protagonists of the novella Carmilla. She is the narrator of Carmilla; she is the vampire countess's love interest, and nearly her victim. Carmilla wishes to transform Laura into a vampire so they may be together eternally. Laura does not share Carmilla's feelings, and is somewhat embarrassed and intimidated by Carmilla's attention. This is also where the catlike appearance gets its inspiration. In the novel, it is implied Carmilla would transform into a giant cat when she feeds on Laura.
