Castlevania: Portrait of RuinEdit
The boss of the Great Stairway, Keremet is a strange boss fight. It hides in its pot, and will not emerge unless the pot is struck five times. When it comes out, Keremet will attack by unleashing little green blobs, or firing a large, red blast. If the red blast is struck, it will split into smaller projectiles. Keremet will often drop smaller portions of itself during the fight, which will animate and move towards the pot. Its pot can be pushed across the floor without penalty, and properly positioning it is key to fighting Keremet. You can also just use a mace, or similiar weapon, and stand on the very edge of the pot, and spam away. The boss will only be able to hit you very few times from there, but most of the times, you can defeat it without losing any health..
- It shares one thing in common with Aria of Sorrow's Man Eater and Symphony of the Night's Olrox by having its HP maximum at the number normally associated with that of the devil, 666.
- Kermet may be a reference to Roger the Potted Ghost in that they are both tall, ghost-like bosses in a Nintendo platformer. Also, both hide inside of a large pot which can be pushed around to your advantage.
