Ivan Bartley is an arrogant noble of a house in opposition to the Belmont clan which has strong ties with Dracula who appears in IDW's Castlevania: The Belmont Legacy comics. His great-grandfather (Lord Bartley, the cult member seen in Castlevania Chronicles' opening sequences) resurrected Dracula during Simon Belmont's time and was killed afterwards. Ivan follows his ancestor's footsteps and resurrects Dracula during Christopher's time. He is soon afterwards betrayed by his neice, Sona Bartley. Likely related to Elizabeth Bartley in some fashion.
