Blocking Mail (also called Impervious Mail) is armor that on occasion completely "blocks" an attack, causing it to cause no damage.

Blocking Mail in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow grants +35 Defense, which is the same as the Silver Plate.

In Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Blocking Mail gives +25 Defense, which is the same as Chain Mail.

In Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, the Impervious Mail gives Jonathan +8 Defense, which is one less than a Copper Plate.
