The Skull Bartender is an enemy in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.
Overview[]
While the comically amusing Waiter Skeleton was removed from Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, another kind of skeleton took its place. Found in a secret area underneath the marketplace of the City of Haze, the Skull Bartender greets the heroes to his bar with a cheerful: "Welcome!". However, while polite, the Skull Bartender is definitely not friendly.
When a hero approaches his bar, he will begin to make drinks using a drink shaker. Once finished, he'll have a rather pleasant looking beverage ready in front of him. But with a sinister sounding call of: "This one's for you!", he'll slide the drink across the bar toward the hero, intending for it to smack into them. This drink has many effects, such as heavy regular damage (powerful enough to instantly kill the player character if underleveled), petrifying, poisoning, cursing, and even healing by 999 HP.
Dispatching him is fairly easy, though, and once beaten, his upper torso will slide across the bar and then shatter on the floor once it falls off. If lucky, he'll leave behind a delicious Tropical Sundae which will give the heroes extra health.
