"Demon Castle Dracula: Curse of Darkness -Prelude to Revenge-") is a promotional item that was included as a preorder bonus for the 2008 PlayStation 2 game Castlevania: Curse of Darkness in Japan. It features a promo CD and a comic booklet.
Soundtrack[]
The music was composed by Michiru Yamane and is exactly the same as that from Castlevania: Curse of Darkness Original Soundtrack, except for track 4, which is an arranged medley of the background music played during Zead's events ("Devil Forging" and "Confrontation -the Second-"), with an exclusive theme that does not appear in the game or the soundtrack.
Track list[]
- "Baljhet Mountains" - Background music for Baljhet Mountains (featured as track 9 on Disc 1 of the Original Soundtrack).
- "Garibaldi Cathedral" - Background music for the stained glass (featured as track 17 on Disc 1 of the Original Soundtrack).
- "The Legendary Belmondo" - Background music for the battle against Trevor Belmont (featured as track 15 on Disc 1 of the Original Soundtrack).
- "The Portrait of Zead" - An arrangement of the background music played during Zead's events.
Booklet[]
The booklet features a comic; the story and artworks were designed by Ayami Kojima and functions as a prelude to the story of Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, narrating the tale of Hector's betrayal of Dracula, his love for Rosalee, Isaac's descent into madness, and Trevor Belmont's growing concern that Dracula could still be alive.
This introductory story presents a different scenario than that from the Tokyopop translated Castlevania: Curse of Darkness manga.
