Dark Inferno is a variation of the Hellfire attack, mainly used by Dracula. It unleashes a furious barrage of magic upon enemies.

Overview

This attack was first introduced in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, used by Dracula on the final battle as an alternative to his iconic Hellfire attack. It involves shooting two large, dark orbs resembling small meteors, one high and one low. In later games, the number of orbs was increased, such as three (Curse of Darkness and Portrait of Ruin), four (Harmony of Despair, Normal Mode only), or six (Harmony of Dissonance and Harmony of Despair, Hard Mode only for the latter). In Curse of Darkness, the orbs are purple.

There is another variation of this attack where Dracula will shoot out three orbs that slowly rotate around him. Other characters have used this attack as well, such as Walter Bernhard, Graham Jones, Alucard, Soma Cruz (Demon Lord bullet soul), Shanoa (as one part of Dominus, Dominus Anger) and Charlotte Aulin. It is one of Dracula's most commonly used attacks, with the exception of Hellfire.

In the episode "For Love" from Netflix's Castlevania, Dracula casts the Dark Inferno spell on Trevor, Sypha and Alucard during the battle.

In another episode, Sypha can be seen reading a book which has the Dominus Anger glyph drawn in it.
