The Heart Brooch is a brooch in the shape of a heart that either reduces the amount of Hearts that using a weapon or ability consumes, or makes it more likely to obtain Hearts.
It first appeared in the 1997 game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, where it reduces Heart consumption by half with one equipped, or 2/3 with two equipped. It returned in the 2003 game Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. It can only be used by Charlotte Aulin in the 2006 game Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, where the function has been changed to make Hearts spawn as bigger variants.
A more advanced version of the Heart Brooch, the Mobius Brooch, appears in some games, which eliminates the need to consume Hearts entirely to use a weapon or ability.

Trivia[]
- The Heart Brooch is referred to as the Brisingamen in the Japanese version of Curse of Darkness, despite having more in common with the Heart Brooch from Castlevania: Lament of Innocence than the Brisingamen from that game. Both items have the exact same usage (reduce the amount of Hearts consumed) and in-game item model designs. In the North American version of the game, it is referred to as the Innocent Supporter.
