The main path through Stage 1 is called Dinner of Flames or Birthplace of Tragedy. It consists of a path through a burning village, where Dracula's forces recently attacked and kidnapped several individuals.

The signpost in this stage indicates that its name is Aljiba, which is the name of a town in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. However, it resembles the layout of Jova, the first town in that game much more.[1] Much of the area not depicted in Jova in Simon's Quest resembles the layout of the town of Warakiya in Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, which itself is similar to Jova.

The first stage also depicts a burning town. Dracula X is a reimagining of Rondo of Blood.
Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls[]

The latter three chapters of the third book cover the events of this stage. The Burning Town chapter covers the streets of the burning town, while the Tragedy Awaits chapter covers the building interiors during the fire. A powered-up fire-breathing Wyvern is fought in the Avatar of Destruction chapter.
