For the Rampart and Lookout Tower, see Dracula's Curse Block 7A.

Block 7 (Route 12) for the game Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse are the Morbid Mountains (name from the US NES Manual). Its first section are the mines and the second are the sides of the mountains.

Sub-stages[]

Note: Sub-stage names are unofficial
  • 7-01: First Dissolving Section - Head up the mines, taking on Headless Hunters. Wait for the acid to clear a path and face a temporarily trapped Hunchback/Gremlin above, then head up and left.
  • 7-02: Unstable Platforms - Head left across some crumbling platforms suspended by ropes and fight a Bad Bat at the end.
  • 7-03: Second Dissolving Section - Make it across another dissolving section with another trapped Hunchback.
  • 7-04: Cave In - Continue left across a long stretch of the mines filled with Flying Gargoyles and then come to an area with falling blocks and head up once enough blocks have fallen. Continue up, and then right, facing Skull Swordsmen and Slime and then fight a Giant Bat.
  • 7-05: Mountains - Get some fresh air and make it upwards while blocks rain from above. At the top, head right, fighting Red Whip Skeletons and Giant Spiders along the way, then head up again. While fending off Crows, take a vertically moving platform up, then head left across a high altitude section with moving platforms.
  • 7-06: Outer Wall - Continue left across more moving platforms, then up, then right, and up to the next screen, while avoiding Bad Bats. Head left across a long stretch filled with trick platforms (including spiked ones) while avoiding Medusa Heads and ceiling spikes.
  • 7-07: Vertical Prison - Continue left, fighting more Headless Hunters and Giant Spiders. Head up and then enter an automatically upward scrolling area. While heading up, fight Knights, Skull Swordsmen, Flying Gargoyles, and cross crumbling blocks. At the top, decide which stairs to take upwards. Face an Axe Knight Guard if the left stairs were taken or Mummies if the right were taken. Head right and fight an Evil Flame that can possess the contents of three caskets, including 2 Mummies, a Cyclops, and a Leviathan.
