Bird people are several types of demons and creatures in the Castlevania series whose bodies are comprised with both bird and human parts.
Appearances[]
The first and most recognizable of these creatures is without a doubt the Harpy, a monster of Greek origins, part bird-part human, which first appeared in Haunted Castle and which has since become a frequent enemy in following titles. Castlevania II: Simon's Quest features a Bird Man which would fly in the air, then come down and walk on the land for a while, and finally shoot fireballs. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night introduced the crow demon Malphas boss (also called Karasuman and Feather Demon), who later became a regular enemy. The Siren, mythical human-bird beauties whose singing could drive men to crash their ships into dangerous rocks, became a palette swap for the Harpy in some games.
