Combat Focus is a skill in the Lords of Shadow franchise. It is implemented as a meter that gradually fills up as attacks and combos are performed well. When it is full, attacking enemies causes Neutral Elemental Orbs (Lords of Shadow) or Blood Orbs (Lords of Shadow 2) to be emitted from enemies. Gabriel must then have to absorb these floating orbs before they disappear.

The meter is found at the bottom of the screen and fills up whenever the player successfully strikes at enemies with the Shadow Whip. It gets emptied instantly when taking damage, or when switching to the Chaos Claws or the Void Sword.

When the meter is full, the gem at the center will glow, accompanied by an audio cue. While the gem is still glowing, any further hits dealt to enemies using the Shadow Whip will cause them to drop Blood Orbs, which can then be used to fill up the Chaos or Void Magic. The difficulty level affects the rate at which the Combat Focus fills up with every successful hit. Failure to land a successful attack to any enemy within a given time will also cause the meter to drain slowly.
