So now I can lift the veil of total suspense on this... fairly underwhelming conversation. Really it can be summarized as information I'd already conveyed... Dracula's a Grade A horndog and craves all the lovelies from the village. I'm pretty sure I still have no idea why she's been hidden away here... particularly since this seems to be a fairly desolate and featureless chamber.
I guess at the very least, Dracula needs to keep them apart so that he'll never be too far from a potential dab of food to play with, although I can't say as we've ever really seen Dracula to be much of a mover and a shaker, so you'd think he'd prefer they be brought to him anyway. Then again, the only times we actually see what he's up to is while he's being laid siege to by some do-gooder with an excess of leather and a whip fetish, so it's no wonder the old man holes himself up and makes them do all the legwork...
Oh, right, anyway, this is Tera... seeing that this is indeed not the young beloved Richter's looking for, he's rather eager to make himself scarce once he's figured that out. A little too eager, actually. I mean, we've seen in this one stage alone that enemies respawn with rather problematic frequency... Richter, you're pretty careless, you know that? At least Maria could defend herself... better than you yourself can, in fact. Tera is... well, let's just say there's not another playable character to this game, and I know a great wave of disappointment washed over the collective of the universe once it became known that there's no asskicking nun alternate hero to Rondo of Blood. (Don't worry, we'll cope... somehow.)
Oh, and let's just enjoy the incredible flourish and determination with which Richter makes his exit and a truly bizarre hand gesture. I mean, sure it's... supposed to be cool... it's clearly the only intention we can take from it, but I have no idea what it actually is. Maybe Tera's glad that Richter left in such a hurry. (It was truly God's salvation for us all.)
