So, when we flip things to English... uh... ... ...I can't really say as they're all that more sensible and well-spoken. I mean, I understand the words, but it's all really poorly-constructed wax-philosophical shlock.
Those of you familiar with Symphony of the Night will also notice that this too was an early trend to Castlevania trying to find its identity with all the evolving technology... now if only it could've found a similar advancement in the quality of writing to go along with it.
So yeah, you might notice that Patrick Seitz and David Vincent are doing a level-best effort to perform what's pretty much as direct a translation as can be expected (without it getting even more ridiculous-sounding, anyway) AND still match the lip flaps (what flaps? ...there are only TWO frames here: mouth closed and mouth open!) and timing. All those constraints considered, I'm reasonably impressed... if not slightly horrified to hear the silly words coming from their mouths...
Now at least we know what we were (not) missing out on the first time around.
