Okay, so... that was pretty mundane and silly and forced in terms of Maria apparently wrecking Richter's grand romantic gesture of being the one who arrives to save Annette... but it does seem to be rather in-character... for Maria's version of events, anyway.
It is as I feared earlier, however... Annette worries not one jot for Maria's well-being and doesn't even try to stop her from going on to do more fighting. I mean, really! Just how irresponsible can you be?
Then again, she's clearly totally blinded by love and only has eyes or Dra-- uh, I mean Richer. Yes, Richter is who I meant. This is the real version of events, so I promise I won't derail the description into even more maddening nonsense that demonstrably is NOT what's going on here, seeing as how my description is in the same language as is being spoken for a change.
So how 'bout that Shaft, huh? Even his ghost didn't pose much of a threat to Maria, eh? ...and I guess with all this out of the way, that means... oh boy.
