The Hanged Man is an enemy in the Castlevania series. He is the zombie of a man who died by hanging.

Castlevania: Bloodlines[]
The Hanged Man's head is covered with a sack (presumably from his execution) and he holds yet another sack in his hands, from which he throws different things. These are often skulls which "grow" into Skeletons once they hit the ground, bombs, or even Mutton Chops for the player to pick up and replenish their HP.
He can also be killed with his own bombs.

Castlevania: Lament of Innocence[]
Unlike his previous appearance, the behavior of the Hanged Man in Lament of Innocence is closer to a zombie; he moves slowly toward the player and will try to immobilize them in order to suck up their HP. He's also a recycled model of the same enemy in the same game; however, his appearance differs greatly from his previous appearance: his head is completely flayed and pierced with a huge nail. He also wears prisoner's armbands on his wrists and legs. In addition, flies can be seen flying around his body.
He can drop the Coin of Happiness, one of the only objects in the game that increase LCK.
