Appearances
Most games (see list below)

Eyeball monsters of many varieties have appeared in many Castlevania games. Depending on the game they appear in, they may come in many forms and shapes, as well as having completely different properties and attack methods.

General InformationEdit

The Ghostly Eyeball from Simon's Quest floats through the air toward Simon slowly, similar to the ghosts from other Castlevania games.

Big Eyeballs (plain eyeballs which bounce and/or roll) appear in Haunted Castle (where they bounce), Adventure, Belmont's Revenge and Adventure ReBirth.

A floating lidded Fire Eye moves along a horizontal line and drips acid tears over the hero. It appears in Dracula's Curse (where it is also called a "Big Eye") and Super Castlevania IV.

The most common eyeballs found in modern games are the Peeping Eyes, and their variant, the Bugbears. These are eyeballs with lids and long retina chains which float and home toward the hero.

Particularly, large eye monsters include the Peeping Big and Dogether. Symphony of the Night featured a giant eyeball that looked at Alucard from outside a window in the Marble Gallery, though it is never fought.
