But since this is a 3D game, you do not walk in the typical side-scrolling Metroidvania-like gameplay in many versions of the Clock Tower in the series. Many rooms do not resemble corridors, and also feature several gears and mechanisms which the player can interact with.
In the Eneomaos Machine Tower, the player fights with Saint Germain along with finding the Devil-Type Innocent Devil.
Saint Germain's Test (Hector approaches Saint Germain who is leaning against the clock tower)
Saint Germain: Oh! An unexpected guest. Hector: So, Zead hasn't slain you yet? Saint Germain: I see you were spying on us... But I am an expert at miraculous escapes. Despite that, however, I have fallen into his trap at last. Hector: Trap? What trap? Saint Germain: This space itself is a barrier... Which leads me to question... How did you get here? Hector: On foot. There were no.. barriers. Saint Germain: Interesting. Most interesting. That is quite possible.
(Saint Germain claps hands together and turns his back to Hector while most enthused) Hector: What are you saying? Saint Germain: In this space, I may be partially freed of the fetters of time. That means I can have a direct physical effect here. For example...
(Saint Germain reaches to the side and pulls a sword from thin air) Saint Germain: I can fight you. Hector: So, is that your intent? To stop me by force? Saint Germain: Not exactly. But by fighting you, all that I need to know will be revealed.
(Saint Germain slashes his sword to the side and enters a sword stance)
A New Destiny and a New Path for Hector (Hector jumps on Saint Germain and holds his fist back ready to hit him)
Saint Germain: I surrender... I promise to not interfere with you again. Hector: Very well. Saint Germain: I now see how fascinating time, or rather, fate truly is. Hector: Just who are you? Saint Germain: A traveler. Only half here. Not allowed to speak the truth. Not allowed to act upon reality. Yet one who knows all... That about covers it. Hector: I see. Not allowed to speak the truth... Saint Germain: Please forget everything I have told you. A traveler merely passes through, touching nothing, changing nothing. But there is one thing I can tell you. Hector: What is that? Saint Germain: I feel a new destiny flowing out of you. Walk the path that is meant for you without fear... For you are no longer alone...
(Hector stands speechless. Saint Germain content with the words he just spoke) Saint Germain: Give my regards to Zead when you see him.
(Saint Germain tips his hat as the barrier round the clock tower fades)
Ending (Dracula's castle crumbles and breaks apart, as his remaining essence flows out of it in purplish light. A ray of sun shines through the black clouds. Julia staring at the remains of the castle with Hector)
Julia: T'is over at last. Hector: Even so. I pray this will truly free the people's hearts... Julia: Those hearts are yet filled with darkness. The cursed has reached deep inside of them. Its mark will not easily vanish. For my brother, only death could erase it. (saddened) Hector: Julia... Julia: (hopeful) All the same, people are not such fools. Their hope lies in one another. They shall realize that in time. Scars will fade and be lost to memory... Let us have faith in the morrow. Hector: Indeed.
(Hector stands with Julia and look off toward the remains of Dracula's castle once again)
(Meanwhile, at Eneomaos Machine Tower) Saint Germain: Faith in the morrow? Those are fine words... But not for me. As one who travels through time, I see the morrow a bit differently. All the same, the flow of time has stabilized at last. For myself, I think I will go far into the future and see what awaits. There is one great battle yet to be fought -- the final battle between Lord Dracula and the humans. Perhaps they will remember your fight. Or perhaps it will start anew.
(Saint Germain tips his hat to the screen and turns to walk through a portal)
(Julia and Hector walk down a path in the Baljhet Mountains) Julia: What now, Hector? Where will you go? Hector: Well... I have many friends I must conceal from the humans. I suppose I'll seek some hidden place where I can live in peace. Julia: No need to search out such a place... I know of one. Hector: (enthused) Pray, lead me there. I am in your debt. Julia: All that you may need you shall find here. If that is fine with you.
(Julia walks toward her shop. Hector looks on behind Julia) Hector: Well, I suppose... To stay here with you, Julia... T'is not a bad idea.
