The Demon's Mail is a suit of mail imbued with dark powers. It is similar to the Mojo Mail (also called Dark Armor) and the Dark Armor (Devious Breastplate).

In Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, the Demon's Mail offers protection against Dark based attacks. It is also the most valuable armor in the game, granting +49 Defense, and +9 Attack and Strength. This is better than the Eversing, which grants 45 Defense. It offers less total attribute points than the Dracula Tunic, which only offers +41 Defense, but also offers +6 Attack, Strength, Constitution, Intelligence, and Luck, but is worth less money (19,000G vs 33,000G).

The Demon's Mail loses its protection against Dark attacks and other statistical bonuses in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. It simply gives more Defense than any other armor (+56), and can be sold for the "ominous" price of 66,000. This is again higher than the Eversing (+46) and less effective overall than the Dracula Tunic, which retains its other attribute bonuses (+44 DEF, +6 STR, CON, INT, LCK).

The Demon's Mail regains its defense against Dark attacks in Castlevania: Harmony of Despair. However, wearing it also makes one more susceptible to Holy, Fire, Ice, and Lightning based attacks. It keeps its STR and CON boost, looses its INT and LCK boost, and gains an HP boost. It is worth more than a Mojo Mail and increases DEF more than it, which doesn't boost HP or STR. The Mojo Mail however offers better protection against Dark attacks, doesn't increase vulnerability to certain types of attacks, and offers an INT boost.
