The Death Ring is an accessory in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. It is a ring that represents the Tarot card "Death". When worn, any hit taken will cause instant death.
Characteristics[]
While this ring increases stats dramatically (STR, CON, INT and MND by 44), it imposes a special restriction on Shanoa: if she takes a single hit, she will die no matter how high her HP is. It can be compared to the Temperance Ring, which also increases her all around stats, although at a lower level.
The Death Ring is a very good item to use when attempting to gain Boss Medals, since Shanoa must defeat the bosses without sustaining a single hit from them. Even though it is found late in the game, it can also prove to be useful for a fresh save on Hard lv. cap of 1 if the player does not wish to make use of Life Vessels, because in that difficulty level Shanoa will die in one hit in the later stages of the game, regardless of how high her defenses are, lowering the usefulness of CON and MND.

The Death Ring is in a secret room in the Mechanical Tower, found behind a breakable wall in the room with three Bugbears.

- Despite the ring's description that says, "hits may cause instant death", death will occur whenever Shanoa receives a hit, with no chance of survival. The only exception to this, is if Shanoa is hit while at full HP, full Hearts, and having the Heart Cuirass equipped; this will let her survive, but all Hearts will be lost, and her HP will be equal to the number of Hearts she had before being hit.
