Poetic Death, also known as Death Ballad (死の詩曲 Shi no Uta Kyoku?), is a music theme originally composed by Michiru Yamane for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It is the boss battle theme played during the Hippogryph, Olrox, Granfaloon, Beelzebub, Death, Shaft and Galamoth fights.
It later appeared in Castlevania: Harmony of Despair as the boss fight theme for the second downloadable stage, The One Who Is Many, where it is given a more electric guitar mix. This same version was also reused for Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls.
