One of the second group of portraits in Portrait of Ruin. The Dark Academy stays true to it's name, looking like a large building. It is eternally raining in this level. Enemies include Dragonflies, Ruler's Swords, Lightkeepers, and Mandragoras. The level's boss is The Creature, which bears a strong resemblance to Frankenstein's monster, but with additions such as machine gun elbows and hidden rocket lanchers. A notable feature of this stage is the fact that several rooms exhibit ghostly phenomena, such as bloody handprints on the wall following the characters and an anatomy figure that randomly appears with muscle or as a simple skeleton.
