Cutall AoS Icon

The Cutall (also known as Katar) is a short sword of East Indian origins found in the Castlevania series. In Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow it has the ability to deal two stabs simultaneously, making it one of the most damaging weapons at the time it is found. In Dawn of Sorrow, its special ability briefly teleports Soma across the room to perform a stab (similar to the special ability of the Alucard Sword from Symphony of the Night), this allows him to press some floor switches within the castle (Wizardry Lab, Garden of Madness, Condemned Tower, Subterranean Hell) which he may not be supposed to reach yet, and open paths to gain access to new areas.

TriviaEdit

  • The name "Cutall" may be a mistranslation of Katar, the Indian dagger, which in Japanese is pronounced as Katāru (カタール).
