Curry (sometimes referred to as Curry Rice or Beef Curry) is a useful food item in several Castlevania games. It's sometimes used as an ability called Delicious Curry where the character throws plates of curry at foes.
Game specific information[]
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night[]
Curry Rice recovers 28 HP in Symphony of the Night, which is one more than Spaghetti but one less than a Gyros Plate.
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow[]
It's used as weapon by the Waiter Skeleton. Soma can also gain this ability, called Delicious Curry, by gaining control of the Waiter Skeleton's soul. When used as a weapon, plates of curry can be thrown to damage enemies; however, they cannot be used as a normal healing item.
Beef Curry is occasionally dropped by Waiter Skeletons after they have been defeated by the player. It heals 800 HP (more than any other food item).
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow[]
The Beef Curry item, Waiter Skeleton, and the Delicious Curry ability return in the sequel to Aria of Sorrow; however, this time Delicious Curry can leveled up. When it reaches Level 3, Soma will throw a much larger plate of curry. When thrown, a different sprite will also replace the Beef Curry sprite.
The Yeti seems to have a fondness for Beef Curry, fondness which Soma can use against it. In the very first room of the Lost Village, a mysterious humanoid creature can be seen lurking through the woods in the background. By dropping a plate of curry to lure it out (using the Delicious Curry ability), the creature will jump into the foreground, allowing Soma to defeat it and probably steal its soul.
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness[]
You can steal a Curry in the second battle against Trevor.
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin[]
It's simply referred to as Curry in this game and it's a rare food item, dropped only by Fake Trevor in the Nest of Evil. In this game it's referred to as an Indian style dish.
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia[]
Once again it's referred to simply as Curry. For the first time it can be bought at a shop and is never dropped by an enemy. It appears in the shop as a reward for supplying Aeon with Tasty Meat so he can use it in his cooking. As in Portrait of Ruin, chef Aeon's curry is cooked and prepared Indian style.
