Confodere is the name for any of Shanoa's rapier glyphs, and means "to pierce" in Latin. In Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, there are three different Confodere glyphs of different levels of power and lengths, including the regular Confodere (which she starts with), the powerful Vol Confodere, and the superior Melio Confodere.

When any two Confodere glyphs are involved in a Glyph Union, Shanoa uses a red rapier which is accompanied by rose petals, which fly out and can cause damage. Confodere glyphs count as normal weapons for other Glyph Unions.

Shanoa uses two of these as her initial weapons in Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, but it doesn't cost MP to use repeatedly unlike in her origin game. It is her only "normal" weapon glyph from Order of Ecclesia that she can use in Harmony of Despair. Two of her more unique glyphs can take its place though, including Pneuma and Lapiste.
