The Colosseum is where Dracula comes for his entertainment, it seems. In the center, a Gladiator-esque ring is located, complete with the host of the event's seat in the middle, and a myriad of other seats for spectators. Other rooms contain storing shelves for weaponry and armor.
Quite interesting is the fact that at the lowest floor you can find the Behemoth that chases you in a lot of Castlevania titles, like for example in Dracula X.
You can find some interesting equipment in the lower-left corner and in the lower-right corner, at least that is if you can beat all the monsters located in these two hallways.
There are 2 exits here, the right one leads to Olrox's Quarters towards the clock room in the Marble Gallery, the left leads to the Royal Chapel. Its counterpart in the Inverted Castle is the Reverse Colosseum.
