The Captain is a possessed painting in which the soul of the captain of the ship has been trapped for eternity.
General information
The Captain appears in the main room of the Ghost Ship in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Dracula X Chronicles.
As Richter or Maria comes near it, the painting will suddenly come to life, spinning and bashing violently around the room, hungry for another soul to capture for the rest of eternity. If the painting manages to make contact with the hero, a painted portrait of him or her will appear on its canvas, replacing that of the Captain, and the character will die instantly.
