• The name also appears in Final Fantasy IV as the Drowned King, one of Golbez's Four Elemental Archfiends.
• Cagnazzo's appearance as a humanoid entity in Guardian Soul form, in addition to his punching techniques and Soma's shout of "ORA ORA ORA!" are an homage to Jotaro Kujo and his Stand, Star Platinum, from Hirohiko Araki's manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
