In Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow and it's sequel Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow Bullets souls are used by Soma instead of subweapons. Instead of being limited to collecting hearts and having to only a few different subweapons, Soma has access to hundreds yet all consume mp.
