In this blog I will adress several Castlevania games and related media, and explain if they either take place in IGA's offical timeline, are alternative continuities, or are set in completely different universes. All these works have been released during the period of 2007-2012.

    • 1 Castlevania: Order of Shadows and The Arcade
    • 2 Akumajo Dracula: Lament of Innocence
    • 3 Akumajō Dracula X: Tsuioku no Yasōkyoku and Akumajo Dracula: Kabuchi no Tsuisoukyoku
    • 4 Akumajo Dracula Pachislot Series
    • 5 Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth
    • 6 Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
    • 7 Castlevania Judgment and Harmony of Despair

For Order of Shadows and the Arcade, we proceeded from the start with the plan to create them as a separate continuity (gaiden), since we thought including them i…

The first Castlevania timeline was created in 1997. It was used as a reference for another project but was accidently leaked.

While it is true that it was we who created the basis for the official timeline, at the start of things we had absolutely no intention of publicizing it. Indeed, this was because we felt it would only shackle us to dragging on the Castlevania series. It was unintentionally leaked from another project, and evolved into an official timeline.

    — IGA

Before the publication of the offical timeline there was not one coherent chronology in the Castlevania series. Because several teams worked on the series, without one particular person being in charge, some oddities in the storyline arose. For example, two games, Castlevania 3…

    Help with Controller Pak

    November 16, 2011 by Shadowmaster

Sorry to be posting this here (XD), but I am in need of possible assistance with my Nintendo 64 controller pak, and I'm wondering if someone here is able to help. When I start up the system, it says "Controller pak abnormality", and gives the options "Proceed without saving", "Re-connect", and "Restore". Of course, I went with the latter two, both of which did nothing and just took me back to the menu. Sometimes, it started with "No CASTLEVANIA note", after which I created a note, which just took me to the abnormality menu. And, on occasion, it said "Controller pak has been changed. Reinsert and press A", after which it either just repeated after I pressed A or took me back to the menu. Is this normal? Is my controller pak defective, or is…

    Gameplay Log

    November 1, 2011 by Shadowmaster

This is a log of my playthrough through the Castlevania N64 game, Legacy of Darkness.

Since I don't have a controller pak at the moment, I was unable to save. This made the levels much harder, as a single death cost me the level. I managed to make it to the Villa, but the game glitched when I entered Master Oldrey's room, forcing me to turn off the gaming system. The game has been enjoyable, but I really need a controller pak.

The Foggy Lake has been the easiest level. It was more annoying than dangerous, mainly the mast navigation and the flooding boat provided the hardest problems for me. The mast was more so, since the ghosts would knock me off as well, plus a single drop would make me have to climb it again. The latter part of the level,…

    CLASSIC SMOKE

I love Castlevania. I have been playing these games since they first were released in 1987. Castlevania is the greatist hack and slash game that stands the test of time. One thing I would love to see Konami do is bring Castlevania online around the world. That would be sick. The world of Castlevania is so huge with so many stories, and characters, and the Bellmont Family is huge. It would be so cool to join a party of other Bellmonts and take down giant creatures of the night or dracula, kind of like playing FF XI. It's a shame that Devil May Cry is so damn cheesy. Cause there is nothing better then gothic video games. LONG LIVE CASTLEVANIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Weirdest monsters II

    November 13, 2010 by Boldreporter

Looking at the more original monsters in (and around) Dracula's castle, we come to the most punctual demon around, Aria of Sorrow's Chronomage. This Alice in Wonderland-inspired bunny sports the trimmest ascot and monocle this side of Mr. Howell. And he's a pain to get around unless you have the Galamoth soul to stop him from freezing time and running away. I have to give points for the use of punctuation marks when he sees you too.

But what I really like is the level of detail in the sprite. He has a monocle on one eye, so that when he turns his head, you only see it on one side! And when he gets surprised, the monocle drops to the floor with its chain. Granted, its hard to see when fighting him (its quite clear in his beastiary page) but …

    Weirdest monsters

    November 11, 2010 by Boldreporter

Hey, here's a blog on Castlevania's weirder inhabitants. Sure, everyone knows it has vampires and werewolves. Another Frankenstein's Creature? Yawn! But what the heck is a Tsuchinoko doing in the castle? And Schmoo? Bet that drew question from Alucard when he first ran into it. These are the odder followers of Dracula, the ones that usual appear only in one game, and its about time they got some attention.

The first post is dedicated to the most frustrating enemy in Harmony of Dissonance. Frustrating because it hardly ever appears--you can go through the entire game twice and not see it--yet when you do, its just too cute to kill. Number 79 in the bestiary but number 1 in our hearts is the Rare Ghost. Not only does this little fellow shriek…

    New Skin

    October 7, 2010 by Hikaruyami-having fun*

< User blog:Wh!te$tarOn Sonic Fanon Wiki, we've had a huge discussion (and I mean HUGE) on moving because of the manditory new skin. We agreed to move the site, but what about here? Just to show you, this is the new skin: New wiki skin.jpgView photo detailsAdded by Wh!te$tarNow, we considered everything from protest to Here's the original blog on Sonic Fanon if you'd like. [1]

Here are the option we proposed in general

    1) Move the wiki. Basically everyone voted for this.

2)Protest. Alot of people protested, but the wiki people are too thickheaded.

3)accept it. Literally nobody voted for this!

    SotN guides

    September 3, 2010 by Carinodren

First of all, please help me make a page for Boss guides( I don't know how to). And hope you find this useful!!!! ^_^

Recommended level: To put you in the safe place, Level 5 or higher

    You'll need(equip):

    Weapon1: Short Sword

    Weapon2: Leather Shield

    Head: N/A

    Armor: Hide Cuirass

    Cloak: Cloth Cape

    Accessories1: N/A

    Accessories2: N/A

    Subweapon: axe, or dagger

Recommended spells(the first spell will be the most useful, and the last should be seldom):

Summon spirit- 5 MP, forward, back, up, down, attack(either square or O). The easiest spell to remember, and only consumes a little amount of MP, which makes it the most useful spell.

Tetra spirit- 20MP, hold up(for about two seconds), up-forward, forward, forward-down, down, attack. If you are not contented …

I know.... We all know, that a shield rod is used to combine with a shield to do a weapon crash or something. But, i tried doing SOMETHING on the shield rod(i pressed back+forward+attack) and a shuriken- like object or something appeared. what does that do???

So it's been a little over a week since Castlevania HD has come out for XBox Live.

Which character do you like using the most?

For single player, I stick with Shanoa so I can use her Magnes to reach treasures that other characters cannot reach. That and her Fulgor attack can usually lay waste to most enemies.

For co-op, I like using either Charlotte or Soma. Charlotte variety of spells (especially her healing capability) is a great support for your team. Soma, well lets just say I fully abuse the RPG.

    Shadowmaster

I just finished the Battle Arena in Circle of the Moon. I have to say that the easiest rooms were the Fox Hunter and White Armor rooms. All I do is slide at the hunters, and boom, they're dead. The White Armors...these are a joke. All they do is point the beam forwards, so I just keep my distance, duck, and start whipping. The Skeleton room was easy, too, but the Electric Skeletons and just kow many Skellies there were ruined my concentration. Also, the Adionbarg and Hyenas were pretty easy, but I still had the risk of getting hurt, unlike the White Armors and hunters.

The hardest room was definitely the Minotaur room. They're just so annoying, with their energy waves! I had to use the Mana Glitch with the Thunderbird summon just to beat th…

    Shocking Discovery?

    April 24, 2010 by Shadowmaster

One of my friends recently told me of a Schmoo possibly being in Dawn as a glitch. Whether this is true or not, I do not know. But I will be keeping an eye out for Dawn of Sorrow glitches.

Speaking of glitches, one of the Succubus glitch items I discovered was actually one of the armors. However, when I equipped it, it automatically went to the Baselard, I think.

Would you approve of me creating a glitch items page?

    Upcoming Fangame

    March 20, 2010 by Shadowmaster

Me and two of my friends are creating a new Castlevania fangame. While I'm not sure what the title will be, the placeholder is "Rebirth of Blood". The story takes place about 100 or so years after Dawn of Sorrow. All but 1 Belmont remains. His wife and son were killed some time before, and, of course, the castle rises. Too old to fight, he prays to god, and brings back the now adult spirit of his son. His son soon finds out that Death and his apprentice are behind this, and after going through the castle, he kills Death's apprentice in the Clock Tower. He later fights Death in the Top Floor, who escapes to the throne room. Using Dominus and a host body, he plans to revive Dracula. You can choose whether to enter Dominus right away and kill…

Nathaniel Belmont is the grandson of Julius Belmont and the current wielder of the Holy Whip. He is under the training of Curtis Lang, the now current wielder of the Vampire Killer. Nathaniel is much more powerful than his grandfather, and gets some of his power from his purple armor, which he wears on his hands (the "Purple Gauntlets"), his feet (the "Purple Boots"), his chest (the "Purple Plate"), and oddly, his face (the "Purple Mask"). Nathaniel looks much like Johnathan Morris, except with gray hair, a dark green coat, and purple armor. Nathaniel's current age is 20.

Ryuusei Muruke, like Dmitrii and Dario, is a Dark Lord Candidate. He has inherited Dracula's ability to come back after death, however, Ryuusei loses his humanity a little…

Simon's Quest is one of the few older Castlevania games that I have still not beaten. Growing up, I never owned this game, although I did own an NES. I rented this game once growing up and I believe I got about as far a Deborah's Cliff, but it is possible that I got stuck somewhere else earlier. Shortly after college, I had an emulated version of the game, but didn't play it very much. When I started making money, I bought all the Castlevania games in existence, including all three NES Castlevanias, but spent most of my time playing Dracula's Curse instea…
