5th Plague, known as 5th Alarm (第5の警鐘 Dai 5 no Keishō?) in Japan, is a Bullet Soul in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. It is obtained by gaining dominance over Abaddon's soul. It allows to summon a cloud of locusts to swarm foes.
Characteristics[]
When Abaddon's soul has been obtained, players can "summon a swarm of locusts" to attack enemies in the general direction Soma is facing. Players can also use the touchscreen to command the swarm anywhere on the screen. This spell is useful for damaging enemies while maintaining movement.

Trivia[]
- In the second phase of the final boss battle of Julius Mode, Dark King Soma occasionally utilizes an ability similar to 5th Plague.
- This attack is a reference to the seven trumpets in the Book of Revelation, which are sounded by angels to cue apocalyptic events. The fifth trumpet prompts a personified star to fall from Heaven, which is given the key to the bottomless pit. After opening it, smoke rises and darkens the air and blocks the sunlight. Then, from out of the smoke, locusts are unleashed. They are commanded by their king, Abaddon, to torment anyone who does not have the seal of God on their forehead, by using their scorpion-like tails.
