YOUR the one that's saying thats the message Varkarrus not the game, the game dosent say anything about gays being bad or good or hetrosexuality being better. I gave multiple examples and there all comparable examples to characters that have been radicly redesgined to suit Castlevania wether or not anyone likes it.
It dosent send any message to gays or stright, it's a game that appeals to anyone. Well maybe if your a werewolf you might be offended.
And just to make it clear Carmilla was NEVER a gay role model, in fact gay rights people often don't like any Carmila based characters in movies or other mediems, because if you actually read the novel (witch I have) you realize that her homosexuality is shown to be an inherent part of her evil nature and she uses it to corrupt and perverse the pure and innocent Laura. Laura resists that evil temptation and remains a pure hetrosexual girl. Thats why in the 70's and such you had vampire movies with "evil lesbian vampires" witch encouraged the idea that homosexuality was the devils temptations and was sick and perverse to the true and correct nature of man. If there was a reason why they made Carmila stright and not lesbian other then a simple design choice, it was probably hoping to avoid insulting the gay community with the evil vampire is a lesbian trope.
My points still stand Carmila can be rewritten as the creators please and gays are in no way invalidaed by this, and Carmilla was never a gay role model in the first place.
